Apprentices are assigned a certified mentor to follow and learn from at the job-site. Apprentices will not only be paid for their time, but but will be accruing their on-the-job learning hours towards their apprenticeship (4,000 required hours). Apprentices will also participate in free online weekly training which they can access through a mobile-friendly, easy to use, platform (288 required hours). After 2-years, our apprentices become Journeyman and are well on their way to receiving NABCEP and other industry certifications.

Mentors
Each apprentice will be assigned a mentor to assist with on-the-job learning. Our program offers an IRA-compliant, 1:1 mentor to apprentice ratio.
Hours Transferrable
Hours that apprentices accrue while working on-the-job are transferable between varying solar companies in 49 out of 50 states.
Wages Based on Hours
Starting: $18/hour
1,000 hours: $21/hour
3,000 hours: $24/hour
4,000 hours: $27/hour
*Journeyman: $27+/hour

Applying Online Training
Our online training transfers directly to the worksite by creating weekly assignments that get apprentices engaged in learning.

On-the-Job Learning

Mentorship
Our Program provides each apprentice with a certified mentor to assist them while working on job sites and earning on-the-job learning hours
288 Hours of Online Training
- Each week apprentices will complete one 4-hour length course. 2 hours of optional live instruction (recorded on Tuesdays 5-7pm MST) and 2 hours of asynchronous enrichment.
- Courses are cumulative and designed to compliment on-the-job learning. Apprentices will be required to complete the assigned course before moving on to another.
- Over our 2-year program, apprentices will complete a total of 72 online courses adding up to a total of 288 hours of learning!
