Apprentices learn alongside our certified mentors while getting paid! Apprentices will accrue the required on-the-job learning hours while participating in free weekly online training. After two years, they will achieve Journeyman status and be well on their way to earning NABCEP PVIP certification.

Weekly Courses

4-hour weekly courses include:


  • 2-hour live lecture (recorded for easy replay).
  • Asynchronous activities including additional videos, articles, NABCEP training, and quizzes.

On-the-Job Learning

Wage Based Hours

Starting: $18/hour
1,000 hours: $21/hour
3,000 hours: $24/hour
4,000 hours: $27/hour
*Journeyman: $27+/hour

Hours Transferrable

Apprentices' on-the-job hours are transferable between solar companies in 49 out of 50 states. Hours can move with your job!

Mentors

Each apprentice will have a mentor for on-the-job learning, maintaining a 1:1 mentor to apprentice ratio.

Applying Online Training

Our online training transfers directly to the worksite by creating weekly assignments that get apprentices engaged in learning.
