Have new jobs that need to be IRA compliant?
The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) is a federal law, enacted in 2022, that includes a number of clean energy incentives, including provisions to bolster the solar industry. It provides increased tax credits for solar construction and incentivizes professionalization of the solar industry workforce.
Why should you comply with the new IRA requirements?
Your investment in our apprenticeship program will pay off in just a matter of months!
How much money does that add up to?
Does the IRA apply to my project?
The new IRA requirements and tax credit applies to all new solar construction projects over 1 mW that meet the IRA Requirements
What are the apprenticeship enrollment requirements?
- 15% of all hourly labor conducted by apprentices enrolled in DOL registered apprenticeship program.
- 1 to 1 ratio for on-site apprentices and mentors each day.
- Applies to total on-site hours over construction and work done during the tax credit period.
What are the requirements of the IRA?
- Meet current wage standards for
on-site employees
- Meet the apprenticeship program enrollment minimum
What if I don’t meet the minimum apprenticeship hours required?
- To qualify for the tax credit, any hours under the 15% requirement must be paid at a rate of $50/hour penalty when the credit is applied.
- Remember, the apprentice hours requirement applies to the summation of all hours in the construction of the project. If you have an in-progress project, it’s not too late to start occruing hours.
