Do I need to keep track of my On-the-job Learning (OJL) hours?
While it’s always a good idea to keep track of the hours you work, there is no need to submit or log hours directly with us. We work alongside your employers to ensure hours are reported accurately and you are getting credit for all your hard work!
Be sure to check your weekly progress reports to make sure your OJL hour matches what you have worked. Reach out to your employer with any concerns regarding your OJL hours.
Can I keep participating in online training if I am currently unemployed?
Yes, you can continue with your online training while in between jobs. If you are finished with a job and don’t have another lined up, let us know! Our employer partners help us find you work so that you can get back on-site accruing your hours.
How do I know if I have completed my weekly online course?
You know when you have completed your weekly online course when you have met the time requirement for:
- All activities marked with an asterisk(*); and
- One(1) of the Lecture options (Live lecture or recording)
**IMPORTANT - A checkmark will appear next to an activity or assignment when complete. See example below:
We pull completion reports on all activities marked with an asterisk(*) and lecture options. The course progress bar will not show 100% completion even if you have a checkmark next to all activities marked with an asterisk(*) and one(1) of the lecture options. To help you stay on track, you will receive weekly progress reports directly from us showing your completion.

Why do I see multiple languages in my course?
Our online-based training is created with accessibility in mind, so you will see multiple language options in each course. Just choose the option that works best for you!
My quiz says that I did not pass, can I retake it?
Yes, you can retake quizzes as many times as you would like! Think of our quizzes as self-assessments, meaning they are there to help you determine how well you understand the material.
Pro Tip: After submitting a quiz, click the “Feedback Report” button which will indicate which questions you got right and which questions you got wrong. Use this information to help retake the quiz and better your understanding.
I do not have access to my course, what should I do?
Most of the time, this is because the course is not yet available. However, if you believe you are missing courses or can’t access assignments, feel free to reach out to us!
How long is the apprenticeship and what are the requirements?
Our apprenticeship is designed to take two(2) years to complete. This includes:
- 4,000 hours of On-the-Job Learning
- 288-300 Hours of online related training (dependent on program)
When are classes held?
Currently, live classes are held on Tuesday evenings 7-9pm EST, 5-7 MST. You can access these live lectures directly from our learning platform. They offer a great way to connect with instructors and ask your questions in real-time. Don’t worry if you miss a live class, we will have the recording posted for you within 24 hours.
How can I access the apprenticeship in Spanish or any other language?
Our learning platform uses google translate to translate any written content for you. Our website and learning platform are currently set up to translate Spanish and Haitian Creole, but we can add other languages.
We also offer Spanish live lectures and recordings, so if this is your preferred language, please choose those lecture options.
While we work hard to develop content that is accessible to everyone, “Watch and Learn” sections that include supplemental videos may only have an English option. While the language is spoken in English, we have ensured that the videos subtitles options can be translated so everyone can follow along.
